Why EYO?
The goals of the conference are:
- to provide young women with opportunities to meet and interact with
positive women role models who are active in math and science related
careers;
- to increase the interest of young women in math and science by providing
exciting and fun hands-on learning experiences and;
- to encourage young women to study as much math and science as possible
to keep a wide range of career choices open to them.
Who can attend?
Any young woman attending 7th grade in a NYC or Westchester County school,
public or private. (Total enrollment limited to 240.)

EYO History
The AAUW Explore Your Opportunities - The Sky's the Limit! conference is based on the Expanding Your Horizons in
Science and Mathematics™ (EYH™) conferences.
We license the use of materials and guidance from the
Expanding Your Horizons Network,
which has been helping conferences like ours across
the United States for over 30 years.
These conferences have been designed to nurture
girls' interest in mathematics and science
courses and to expand their career visions to include science, technology, engineering and mathematics based careers.
Since 1976, 775,000 girls have participated in EYH™ conferences worldwide.
In 2010, the EYH Network won the prestigious National Science Board's Public Service Award.
AAUW Westchester has been proudly bringing this conference to our area since 2003-2004,
first in partnership with Barnard College, and now with the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
